Reservoir Communications Group is seeking an Associate, who will support research and analytics, content development, and other capabilities across health care-focused research, reputation, positioning, messaging, advocacy, and alliance development projects for an array of large corporations, trade associations and nonprofits.

Successful candidates will be energetic, focused, detail-oriented, and entrepreneurial, with strong writing, research and analytical skills and demonstrated ability to think creatively about complex topics. Previous health policy experience and strong working knowledge of key national policy debates, including drug pricing, health insurance reform, and care delivery reform highly preferred. 

Responsibilities 

  • Analyze policies, positions and data and distill into client- and public-ready content, such as messaging, reports, and communications, that advance clients’ businesses.  
  • Provide day-to-day support of quantitative and qualitative research, as well as health policy and public affairs, projects for various clients. 
  • Manage and monitor quantitative data collection. 
  • Clean, code, and manage survey datasets. 
  • Conduct data processing and analysis, including frequencies, cross-tabulation, and significance testing. 
  • Visualize data insights using charts, graphs, and tables. 
  • Develop client- and public-ready content across a broad range of owned and earned media and content channels. This could include policy papers and briefs, blog posts, tweets, media materials, video scripts and more. 
  • Manage project-related logistics according to timelines. 
  • Support projects with a focus on problem solving, quality, thorough and timely delivery, relationship management, and client satisfaction.  
  • Support planning and new business development efforts, including preparation of RFPs. 

Job Requirements 

Applicants should have at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience and possess: 

  • Exceptional research skills and working knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics. 
  • Experience writing, editing, and content development for a range of audiences (e.g., thought leaders, public). 
  • Experience researching, analyzing, and distilling complex health policy topics and the relevant stakeholders involved in these debates. 
  • A strong client-service ethos, including ability to work under deadlines. 
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. 
  • Ability to collaborate internally and across external partners and clients with an elevated level of professionalism.  
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills. 
  • BA/BS degree in a related field. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • Real-world experience researching, analyzing, and distilling complex policy issues. 
  • Proficiency with SPSS, R, or other comparable statistical programs. 
  • Familiarity of the media and communications landscape. 
  • Knowledge of the health care advocacy landscape a plus.
