Susan brings a decade of experience in health care advocacy and communications, stakeholder engagement, and coalition building to Reservoir Communications Group. Prior to joining Reservoir, she was the Director of Advocacy and Government Relations for the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), where she developed and oversaw the execution of the society's federal and state advocacy strategy and led the development of a broad advocacy coalition to respond to the opioid crisis.
Before joining ASAM, Susan was an associate director in the health policy practice at APCO Worldwide, where she helped leading pharmaceutical and health benefits companies develop winning thought leadership campaigns.
Susan began her career as a Presidential Management Fellow at the National Institutes of Health. She holds a master's degree in economics from the University of Virginia, a graduate certificate in health policy from The George Washington School of Public Health and Health Services, and a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Florida.
