Ella Rousseau comes to Reservoir with a background in journalism and public health. She is passionate about using her communications skillset to close gaps in health equity while amplifying reliable health education tools for the public.

Most recently, Ella interned with Reservoir and assisted health sector clients in areas including social media content creation, resource development, event planning, and article drafting. Prior to Reservoir, Ella served as a public health communications intern at the Maryland Department of Health, where she addressed important health needs for Maryland constituents through internal and external communication. She also served as the community health beat reporter at The Eagle, American University’s award-winning student newspaper, and covered COVID-19 testing, mental health concerns among college students, and harm reduction services in D.C.

Ella holds a B.A. in Journalism with a minor in public health from American University.
